CALGARY - The coffin carrying the body of former Alberta premier Peter Lougheed is now in Calgary.
It arrived at a funeral home in a white hearse last night around 9:30 p.m. local time.
Lougheed's body had been lying in state at the Alberta legislature since Monday after his death in a Calgary hospital last week, and thousands lined up in Edmonton to pay their respects.
A public memorial is planned for Friday in Calgary.
On Friday starting at 1 p.m., you will be able to watch our broadcast of Lougheed's public state memorial, being held in Calgary. It will also be live streamed on our website.
